The very first piece of advertising that Ben Andron wrote (the copy for the “Once Upon A Time in Mexico” red band trailer) went to finish. Since then, he has had the opportunity to work at some of the largest and most reputable entertainment advertising agencies in the business where he has written and produced creative content for almost every facet of the motion picture advertising world including theatrical, home entertainment, DVD content, print, interactive, and more. He has worked on campaigns across every genre, from major action blockbusters to dramatic academy campaigns, from fantasy to science fiction, from R-rated comedy to family animation.
In addition to his work in the motion picture advertising world, Ben is a produced Playwright and television writer. His first play (“White’s Lies”) opened Off-Broadway in May 2010 at New World Stages in Manhattan’s theater district. Prior to that, he developed an animated series for Disney TV Animation (for which he wrote/produced two pilots), and wrote numerous episodes for the BBC animated series “Friends and Heroes.” In an interview with Playbill last Spring, Ben was asked how he reconciles his writing career with entertainment marketing, to which he replied that understanding every component of the creative process – from the initial creation to the business of selling and marketing that creation – has made him a better writer, and better movie marketer. We are thrilled to have his expertise on board.
